Having unveiled both the MP4-12C and the 12C GT3 racecar at the Goodwood Festival of Speedin 2010 and 2011 respectively, McLaren finds it only fitting to debut the revised 2013 MP4-12Calongside a special version of the racing model at this year's event that takes place from June 28 to July 1.Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver and 2009 Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button will sit behind the wheel of the 2013 MP4-12C in the famous Goodwood Hill Climb on Saturday, June 30.
Among other improvements, the 2013 model year brings an engine power upgrade from 592hp (600PS) to 616hp (625PS), a modified 7-Speed SSG transmission and new equipment and color options.
The production version of the 12C will be joined at the festival by a special 12C GT3 race car adorned with a Union Jack-inspired livery that highlights McLaren's support of Britain's ‘GREAT’ campaign launched this year by the Prime Minister’s Office and Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
