Like Audi, Bentley was forced to reveal the Flying Spur

Yesterday, when i revealed to you the leaked pictures of the Bentley Flying Spur i called it the Continental Flying Spur, which according to Bentley is no longer necessary. While it has the same platform of the older Continental, the complete makeover means the Continental part is gone.

The engine in this beast with a curb/kerb weight of 2475kg (5451lb) and an overall length of 5295mm (208.5in) is a 6 liter twin-turbocharged W12 that produces 625hp (460kW) @ 6000rpm and 800Nm (590lb/ft) from 2000rpm connected to a ZF 8-speed automatic with Quickshift, Block Shifting and wheel-mounted paddle shift.

All that power means it is capable of accelerating from standstill to 100km/h (62mph) in just 4.6 seconds and will have a top speed of 322km/h (200mph), thanks in part to the four wheel drive system.

But in a vehicle with both a huge engine and a big weight you can't expect a decent fuel consumption. It has a combined fuel consumption (EU cycle) of 14.7 liters every 100km (19.2 mpg) and emits 343g of CO2 per km.

Everything on the outside of the car is new, including the jewel-like LED headlamps, which is the part most similar to the old car. The new Flying spur has a more sleek look with the lower roof line and wider body.

But it's the inside that stands out, being incredibly luxurious and having several small details that would make us feel like a king. And with 600 new parts, with only the sun visors, grab handles, armrests and some of the front console and controls carried over from the previous generation, you will enjoy every trip you make in the car.

Bentley Continental Flying Spur revealed ahead of the Geneva Motor Show

Here's another badly kept secret. The official presentation should have happened tomorrow with the public reveal happening at the Geneva Motor Show, but the new Bentley Continental Flying Spur was revealed today in a Russian website.

And that is pretty much it. We have to wait until Bentley officially reveals the car and gives us some more information about the engine and performance.
