Hennessey Venom GT: World's fastest production car from 0 to 300 km/h [Video]
What do we have over here, this competition is reaching incredible levels. Just a few months ago the Koenigsegg Agera R beat the Veyron Super Sport in the 0-300km/h (186mph) run with a time of only 14.53 seconds compared to the Bugatti's 16.7 seconds, but now we have an even faster car in the market.
And that car is the Hennessey Venom GT. With over 1500hp, taken from its 7.0 liter twin turbo V8, it will accelerate to 200km/h (124mph) from standstill in less that 8 seconds, to 300km/h (186mph) in just 13.63 seconds and will reach a top speed of 370km/h (230mph) in just under 20 seconds.

2013 Hennessey Venom GT will have over 1500bhp
The power figures in supercars keep getting higher and higher. The 2012 Venon GT is powered by a twin turbocharged Chevrolet LS-series aluminum V8 producing 1200bhp (1217 metric hp) and 1537Nm (1135lb/ft) of torque connected to a six-speed Ricardo manual gearbox.
It will do 0 to 100km/h (0 to 62mph) in just 2,2 seconds and has a top speed of 422km/h (262mph). To stop a car at that speed you need a very special type of brakes, and the Hennesseey has them. 15 inch Brembo carbon ceramic brakes15 with six pistons in the front and four pistons in the rear.
But that was the 2012 model, for 2013 the power figure will rise to 1500bhp (1521 metric hp) obtained from a 7.0 liter twin turbo V8. This time you will be able to choose between the same Ricardo manual transmission or a new seven-speed paddle shift gearbox. But the new values of the top speed and acceleration are unknown.
The body will be the same, made of carbon fiber with new a new door design and increased headroom with a double bubble roof.
