SsangYong reveals another SUV concept, this time it's the LIV-1

In recent months Ssangyong unveiled the SIV-1 and XIV, two Sport Utility Vehicles that serve as the basis for the next generation middle and large SUV line-up. The evolution of those concepts will be shown at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show which begins on March 28, and will be called the LIV-1.

LIV-1 stands for Limitless Interface Vehicle and according to the South Korean brand it "implies the meaning of Limitless Potentials and Limitless Joy which expresses the unlimited high performance and the value of large premium SUV concept". The LIV-1 is an evolution of their design philosophy called "Robust Aesthetics".

SsangYong brings the SIV-1 concept to Geneva

Yesterday i wrote an article about the new SsangYong Korando Turismo, also known as the Rodius or Stavic in some markets, and i said the car was ugly, like most cars the Korean company built over the last years, but this new concept is really promising.

From what we can see from these two images the crossover looks good, really good. The car looks agressive with his large fenders and sharp lines. Not much is known for now, but the car has a length of 4500mm, a width of 1880mm, a height of 1640mm and a wheelbase of 2700mm.

The rest we will have to wait for the Geneva Motor Show.

Ssangyong Korando Turismo aka Rodius aka Stavic will carry 11! [Video]

This should be considered a mini-bus instead of a multi-leisure vehicle (MLV), and, funny enough, it was introduced at the Seoul Trade Exhibition & Convention Center (SETEC) in Gangnam, Seoul. Unfortunately it doesn't have the style (ah ah..), in fact, its really ugly.

The car will have its worlds presentation at the Geneva Motor Show with only one diesel engine, the e-XDI200 LET with 155hp @ 4000rpm and a maximum torque of 360Nm between 1,500 to 2,800rpm mated to an six-speed manual gearbox or a Mercedes Benz E-Tronic 5-speed automatic.

This vehicle will be capable of transporting 11 people in 4 rows, so the almost 5.2meter length wasn't a surprise, and the optional 7inch touchscreen isn't big enough if someone in the 4th row wants to see anything in it. Find it more at the Geneva Motor Show.
