ATS, or Automobili Turismo e Sport, was an Italian company that produced cars between 1963 and 1965. It was founded by Carlo Chiti and Giotto Bizzarrini to compete with Ferrari. But only after two years the company closed doors and Bizzarrini moved to Lamborghini, before creating his own brand, Bizzarrini and Chiti founded Autodelta. But now there is a new ATS 2500 GT.
The new ATS is 4.25m (167.32 inches) long, 1.90m (74.8 inches) wide, 1.25m (45.27 inches) high and has a wheelbase of 2.44m (96.06 inches). It is RWD with a tubular structure and the body is all made of carbon fiber giving it a weight of just 980kg (2.161lbs).
In the engine department, the 2500 GT will use a boxer-style, turbocharged 4-cylinder with 16 valves and dual variable valve timing. ATS only revealed that the car will have a 510 horsepower-per-ton rating, meaning that it will have around 500bhp (510*0,98=499,8). The gearbox is a 6-speed manual with a limited-slip differential and connecting the transmission to the engine is a single-plate race clutch. The top speed is over 300km/h (186.41 mph) and ther price isn't known yet.
