For the first time ever, Mercedes-Benz is targeting the upper echelon of the popular C segment with a traditional hatchback model, the all-new A-Class, which is available for order now in Europe with deliveries to begin in September.
Ever since the brand with the star introduced the latest generation of the A-Class at the Geneva Motor Show this past March, it has been slowly but steadily releasing additional information including specs and prices as well as photos and videos of its BMW 1-Series and Volvo V40 rival.
This time, we have a fresh gallery with 148 high-resolution photos showing the five-door hatchback from all sorts of angles, both inside and out.
Priced in Germany from €23,978.50 (about US$30,100, including 19 percent VAT/Tax), the A-Class is available at launch with three diesel engines ranging in output from 107hp (109PS) to 134hp (136PS), and three four-cylinder petrol units producing from 121hp (122PS) to 208hp (211PS).
Besides the five-door model seen here, Mercedes-Benz also plans to launch three-door variant of the A-Class and a sporty four-door saloon under the CLA moniker.
