We're going to assume that like us, you've also had enough already with the teaser photos of the facelifted 2014 Dodge Durango, so here's the real deal in 31 pictures, courtesy of Autobild magazine and Carscoops tipster Raphael. So, what's new with Dodge's updated seven-seater SUV? Well, we could tell you to read our article on the presentation of the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee from the Detroit Auto Show and simply swap the brand and model names, and for the most part, you would have a pretty good picture of the changes made to the Durango.
But, if you insist on hearing it from us afresh, here goes. Visually, Dodge gave the front and rear ends of its SUV a nip-and-tuck, which includes new and more modern looking LED-trimmed headlamps, the placement of the brand's trademark racetrack-style LED taillights at the back, and restyled bumpers.
The interior upgrades are more extensive, starting with a brand new digital instrument cluster, and continuing with the redesigned lower and upper center consoles featuring a new large screen for the infotainment system, a round knob for the transmission (which, to be honest, doesn't really look ergonomic in these images), plus a new three-spoke steering wheel.
Like its 2014 Grand Cherokee sibling, we expect Dodge to offer a new 8-speed automatic transmission on all engine variants.
Shout out to Raphael for the submission!
