The 2014 Acura MDX, which was previewed by a concept/prototype bearing the same name, earlier in the year, in Detroit, has now been revealed in its production form, via three photos which made their way online, just before the car's official debut at the 2013 New York motor show.
To our eyes, it looks nearly identical to the concept, retaining the angular styling, and all the other cues like the full-LED headlights.
It is rumored to boast more interior space for passengers, courtesy of a new larger platform underneath all of the sheet metal. Furthermore, access to the third row of seats should be made easier in this new model.
The MDX will be powered by Acura's familiar 3.5-liter V6 engine, which should make over 300 hp. Power will be sent to either all four or just the front tires, depending on customer specifications.
More details will be released later today, as the MDX is due to have its official unveiling. We'll keep you updated and bring you the full photo gallery and technical details once they become available.
