Chrysler has released information and photos on the 2013.5 200 S Special Edition model developed in collaboration with Detroit-based clothing manufacturer Carhartt.Priced from $28,870 (€22,330), the 200 S Special Edition is powered by the 3.6-liter 283 horsepower Pentastar V6 engine and features exterior and interior customization packages that give it a more aggressive look than regular 200 models.
Building on the S package, which already comes with additional standard features including polished 18-inch aluminum wheels, perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel, premium leather seats, and Boston Acoustic premium sound among others, the Special Edition offers more standard features and customizing options.
Exterior enhancements include a new gloss black mesh grille with a platinum grille collar, a lower front fascia in platinum black and platinum chrome “spears” above the fog lights. The body-color sill cladding, platinum chrome belt molding and semi-gloss black wheels complete the profile view, while at the rear, Chrysler fitted a decklid spoiler, platinum chrome light bar and a diffuser with widened exhaust tips.
The 200 S Special Edition’s looks are completed by a sport suspension. On the inside, the car benefits from Carhartt’s expertise, with black water-resistant fabric and signature Carhartt triple stitching accents in diesel gray on the seats, steering wheel, armrests and center console. There are also black painted finishes on the air vents, gearshift, front cup holders and steering wheel buttons.
Production of the 2013.5 Chrysler 200 S Special Edition starts in the second quarter 2013. The car will be displayed at Chrysler’s booth at the 2013 New York International Auto Show.
