Official: Seat presents the new Leon SC and Leon SC FR [Video]
The Leon SC (Sports Coupe) is a new chapter for the Spanish company because it is the first ever three-door Leon. And for a first we expected more. It lost two doors with, the other two are bigger, the car has a wheelbase which is 35mm shorter for an overall length of 4230mm.
Besides that it's pretty much like the normal Leon, which in turn is very similar to the Ibiza, with a more slanted rear window and new side windows giving the car a balanced one-third glass to two-thirds body surface for the profile.
The interior remains equal to the one found in the five-door and so does the engines. but for those who can't remember them, you have available to choose from the 1.6 TDI with 105hp (77kW) and 250 Nm (3.8l/100km, 99g/km CO2), and the 2.0 TDI producing 150hp (110kW) and 320Nm.
But you have more choices. Seat allows you to choose several petrol choices, like the 1.4 TSI with 122hp (90kW) and 200Nm (5.2l/100km, 120g/km of CO2), the 1.2 TSI is available in two versions with 86hp (63kW) and 105hp (77kW). There is another 1.4 TSI with 103 kW (140 HP) and 250 Nm available (5.2l/100km, 119g/km CO2).
Later in the year you will be able to order the new Leon SC with a 1.8 TSI delivering 180hp and 250Nm, the 1.6 TDI with 90hp (66kW) and the new 2.0 TDI with 184hp (135kW) and 380 Nm.
Depending on the engine Seat offers a five or six-speed manual gearbox or the DSG dual-clutch transmission. Don't miss the public presentation at the Geneva Motor Show.

2013 Seat Ibiza Cupra
The new Ibiza Cupra will soon be available to order and now Seat released more pictures of the small city car with a "sporting performance for every day". The car is fast but while the look isn't that exciting, it does not look as bad as some of its adversaries, with the exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels, the black gloss exterior mirrors, bi-xenon lights, the redesigned bumpers and tinted windows.
It does the 0 to 100km/h (62mph) sprint in just 6.9 seconds and achieves a top speed of 228km/h (142mph), and all that from a 1.4 TSI engine with a a supercharger and a turbocharger that develops 180hp (132kW) at 6,200rpm and 250Nm of torque from 2.000 to 4.500rpm. Helping drive the wheels is the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DSG) from the VW Group.

Production model of the Seat Ibiza Cupra
The new Cupra is not that different from the rest of the Ibiza family. The changes on the outside include modifications in the bumpers, which are slightly wider and more agressive, LEDs in front and rear lights, exclusive 17-inch wheels, black mirror caps and a rear diffuser including a central trapezoidal tailpipe.
On the inside there's a new steering wheel with the Cupra logo, shift paddles for the DSG gearbox, new trim colors and a redesigned entertainment system. There is only one available engine, which is a 1.4-liter (petrol) turbocharged and supercharged with 178bhp and 250Nm (184lb/ft) connected to a seven-speed DSG transmission. The car does a 0 to 100km/h (0 to 62mph) in 6,9 seconds, has a top speed of 228km/h (142mph) and an average fuel consumption of 5.9lt/100km (47.9 mpg UK or 39.9mpg US)
