Slovenia’s Tushek Strikes Back with 700HP Forego T700 Supercar

|

Remember Slovenia’s first supercar, the Tushek Renovatio 500? Well, after the debut of the 444-bhp Audi RS4-powered model last year at Monaco’s Top Marques show, Tushek has another car(d) up its sleeve. Called the Forego T700, Tushek’s new creation is a completely new lightweight supercar that can be used either on the road or on the track.
The new mid-engined supercar has a carbon fiber monocoque chassis with special titanium parts that contribute to a curb weight of only 1,000 kilograms (2,204 lbs).
Power comes from an Audi-sourced V8 FSI engine expect to deliver around 700 horsepower, with the power to weight ratio reaching an impressive 700 hp/ton. However, keep in mind that these are just projected figures and the images are renderings, as the actual car is still in the works.
According to Tushek, the Forego T700 is designed and engineered with the "form follows function" concept in mind. The styling of the Forego T700 reminds us of the McLaren MP4-12Cat the front, while the massive lateral air intakes cause flashbacks of another McLaren, the iconic F1 hypercar.
In theory, at least, the Forego T700 sounds very promising. While the 1,090-kg (2,403 lbs) Renovatio 500 sprints from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 193 mph (311 km/h), the lighter and more powerful Forego T700 should be even quicker.
One of the images also shows a racing version of the car, so Tushek may have bigger plans with this car than with their first product. Let’s just hope the Forego T700 will make the transition from the drawing board to the track.
