Bugatti Drops the Lid off 1,200PS Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse in Geneva

If you're looking for the ultimate hair blower in the form of a supercar and couldn't get your hands on the single example of Lamborghini's brand-new Aventador J speedster, Bugatti has a solution for you.
It's named the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and it made its world premiere today at the Geneva Auto Salon.
The new model is the roadster version of the almighty (but discontinued) Veyron 16.4 Super Sports, featuring the same 8.0-liter W16 engine that utilizes four larger turbochargers with new intercoolers.
The upgrades help lift output from 1,001PS (1,085bhp) and 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft) to 1,200PS (1,184bhp) and 1,500Nm (1,106 lb-ft) respectively. These figures allow the Vitesse to reach 100 km/h (62mph) from a standing point in 2.6 seconds and 200km/h (124mph) in a mere 7.1 seconds.
It's top speed of 410 km/h (255 mph) in track mode makes the four-wheel drive Grand Sport Vitesse the fastest production roadster ever. However, in "norma"” handling mode, the Grand Sport Vitesse's top speed is electronically limited to 375 km/h (233 mph).
To support the increase in power, Bugatti's engineers made changes to the Grand Sport's chassis.
At the Geneva motor show, Bugatti displayed two uniquely customized versions of the Vitesse.
The first model's body is finished in visible carbon fibre, the roof area and air scoops in “Lake Blue” and the lower body panels along with the inner surfaces of the wheels in the “Light Blue Sport” hue. A similar palette of colors is used in the interior. This Vitesse version is priced at €1.91 million or US$2.55 million.
The second Grand Sport Vitesse's body is painted in dark “Jet Grey” with some surfaces such as the roof and air scoop finished in a different shiny grey and others like the side parts and exterior mirrors in a matte grey. The car's grille and alloy wheels are painted in black. Its price is €1.75 million or US$2.34 million.
